Welcome to The Holistic Christian Life

Welcome! We, John & Margaret, are a Christian couple (37 years), parents to 10 adult Christ followers, and grandparents of 7! Join us as we grow old, wander the Appalachian Mountains, remodel our cabin, and reminisce. We’re here to help you slow down, reflect, and live a holistic Christian life. We know that life can sometimes be overwhelming, but God has given us grace through his son, guidance through the Bible, and power through His Holy Spirit. Through peaceful, cinematic storytelling, we’ll explore 7 key areas of life to help us find balance and purpose.
 

We believe that we are like the men and women of the Bible: no single chapter of our life should define us. The Holy Spirit desires to write on a clean white page with the blood of Christ. Throughout history, God has consistently chosen broken and repentant people to fulfill His divine purpose in His Kingdom. For example, David, Moses, and Solomon ALL had major character failures at some point. If God can forgive and use those men, He can use us. And if He can use us, He can also use you!

Waiting for ourselves or our family to reach a state of perfection before stepping out into God’s will for our lives is an unattainable goal because we are all works in progress this side of eternity. While Margaret and I wish some areas of our home and family were better, we have tons to be thankful for. 
 
So, whether you or your family is just beginning your Christian journey, your home is literally in shambles, your relationships need healing and restoration, or you just need a restart, we are here to walk alongside you!
